The Federal High Court sitting in Minna has adjourned to March 13, 2024, to deliver judgement on the case of enforcement of the fundamental human rights of an alleged terrorist, Mohammad Ahmadu, whose house was demolished in the Nikangbe area of Minna.
Justice Aminu Garba adjourned the judgement after the lawyers for the applicant and the seven respondents adopted all their processes filed before the court.
Mohammad Ahmadu was alleged to have used the proceeds of his terrorism to build his house located in Nikangbe community in Minna, which was sometimes demolished in 2022.
He was arrested along with six others, and some assorted weapons were said to have been recovered from his house, which led to the demolition of the building by the immediate past administration in the state.
Since his arrest by a team of armed security operatives, his whereabouts could not be ascertained, which informed his wife, Mallama Innawuro, to approach the court through her lawyer, Barrister Mohammed Tsado Mohammed.
The lawyer then filed a suit before the Federal High Court, Minna, for the enforcement of the fundamental human rights of the plaintiff.
Joined in the suit were the Inspector General of Police, the Director General of the Department of State Services (DSS), the State Commissioner of Police, the State Director of the Department of State Services, the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, and the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs.
Justice Aminu Garba, after listening to the arguments contained in various applications and motions filed by the legal teams of the state led by the former Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice in Niger State Nasara Dan Mallam, the lawyer to the plaintiff, Mohammded Tsado Mohammed, that of the DSS, Abdulmalik Sani, and the head of the legal unit of the police, Thadeus Jude Akaeze, adjourned the case to March 13, 2024, for judgement.
The then Commissioner for Internal Security in Niger State, Mr. Emmanuel Umaru, had led a team of armed security operatives to his house, where it was alleged that arms and weapons were said to have been recovered from his house.  
After the recovery of the arms, he was picked up, and his house was demolished; and since his arrest, his whereabouts have not been known for the last four years.
